I bought a piece of black reflective glass today to use as a backdrop for some of my pens. This pen I did a while ago but I used it again while I have been experimenting with my photos.
I also went into Photoshop Elements to see if I could transpose print on to my photos.
This is my first effort and hopefully it will get better as I practice !!!

It looks fantastic Terry, i hope such as Vic and others can take heart from this, especially if they look through the forums and look at your past images to compare ..

Looks good like the idea, I did think about using a piece of black or white corian to photograph some of my other turning pieces.

Jim, Terry has been in touch with me and all I can say at the moment is "Work is in Progress" but how the hell do you compete with the Quality of this photograph. Absolutely Stunning it would easily grace the adverts in the top glossy mags !

I like the reflective glass Terry, I too changed my paper to the glossy paper which gives a slight reflection but its not in the same ballpark as the black glass. The text needs a bit of work but you're marching ahead all the time.

That's a very professional photo Terry mate. Shows off the beauty of the pen perfectly and the script suits it well too!

Yes I agree Paul regarding the text but at this moment in time I am trying different colours for the text and also I had cropped the photo before deciding to put text in !!!!

As Peter says Vic but I'll get there !!!! LOL:whistling::whistling::whistling:

I will pm you about the text and if you look at the photo you should have levelled it up with the bottom edge before you did the text, so that extraneous bit at the bottom is cropped. I know this is just a start so I am being lenient:funny: You have done an almost first class job, but I know it won't be too long, perhaps by the end of the week, before you have cracked it and I can employ you, sit back and enjoy the profits:pray: From tomorrow there is no excuse for dust, get yourself a feather duster if you must, just no dust or it's rapped knuckles:funny:

Have a look at your camera settings and see if you have got auto iso switched on and if you have, turn it off, the grain in the shadows is quite noticeable although that may be endemic with your sensor.

Peter
