Yet another day spent cutting some other wood that I have stored in log for this time what I believe to be Holly. Then the chainsaw broke looks like time to save some pennies to buy a new one. I still have a few bits to cut into blanks should have done it ages ago. I am running out of room to store them so may have to re-arrange the wood shed to get more into it.

The way prices are tumbling on chainsaws its getting like computer printers around the price of a chain plus a bit a far cry from a few years ago.

Nine hours building shelving for the new wood store today!

Running out of suitable wood and screws, and still haven't finished the first shelving unit!

Olive cutting has been put back another week!:nonono::down:

So no shed time, finished IT course, so now just wait for results.

Now in Gloucester only good result is averaged 64.4 mpg, doing max about 80 down to about 50 at road works. Will have to do research and see if somewhere to go shopping here or on way home.

Last time came down South I bought a car, can't do that again. :nonono:

It's only approx 10' x 8'.
Most of the time was taken up dismantling and de nailing pallets, and packing case wood. The first unit is 6' high, with 12 shelves spaced 1' apart. The shelves are 2' x 3' 3" (1M).

I got to shelf 8 before I started to run out of usable stuff!

Spent today cleaning mould off Horse Chestnut blanks that had to live under a tarp, due to lack of storage space, and filled all 8 shelves, with them and some of the spalted burr Sycamore.

Barely made a dent on the workshop store, and I cant get to the rest of the wood shelves without moving the wood in front of them!:whistling::funny:

I have finally given up..

Ok, ok.

All the Pee I was taking quite a while ago about some of your workshops having chairs, stools or other supporting systems in them..

I have to give up and had to put a big stool in there today, (bar stool size )

Just to take the weight off me back and resting between jobs..:goesred:

But after all the time in there I came out with nothing finished..:whistling:

Looking allot cleaner tho..:winking:

I've got an old excess-to-requirements typist's chair on wheels in mine. Couldn't cope with out it. Unfortunately I can't do any more in there until I sort out better storage - can't move for tripping over things! Neil, you fancy coming down and using your newly-gained experience on my behalf?
