I'm about to have my first try at casting some PR blanks. I read on here (I think it was Brad) said that with PR you don't have to use a pressure pot / vacuum chamber. So as this sounds an easier option to start with I'm going to try PR first. Apparently warmth helps with air release...
I apologise if this has already been asked loads of times, but what Is needed for casting labels on tube in blanks ?
Obviously a mold of some sort with the bungs, but what labels are used and can both Epoxy and polyester be used ?

Hi all, here is a stainless steel fountain pen made with a stabilised pine cone cast in resin. Casting was done by Scott Walker....AKA Mr Resin.....strangely it smelt of Gin whilst turning.
Ok, so I've decided to have a go at clear casting the music pen (see thread on pen forum)
So I need a clear resin casting kit? Any recommendations?
I only need a small amount, probably 500ml max. The cheapest seem to be on eBay, but I'm guessing you get what you pay for?

I've got a 50th birthday coming up for a friend, he's a musician, saxophonist.
Does anyone know of any music blanks, or kits I can buy? Ideally would like a nice blank with notes that I could make a slimline from. I've seen the music kit on Axminster, but it doesn't look that attractive.
