    I have been practicing

    Something different. This took two whole days to build and I am sort of pleased with it. Start casting resin next week and looking forward to the experience. Cheers Frederick

    New Pot, eventually!

    Eventually got a pot sorted for pressure casting. Now to work out the needed fixtures and fittings and try out the benefits of casting under pressure! Oh and find a nice quiet compressor!

    First attempt at a serpantine blank / pen

    Probably moving a bit fast as i only got my lathe on wed evening, but I did have a bandsaw, so had to have a play with it managed to cut some veneers out of pine, not perfect but close enough for a try, i used the bandsaw for cutting the blanks, but think i will get the scroll saw sorted before...

    Hi guys, I don't post a lot these days but do keep in touch with the forum. Am dabbling with casting and would ask whether any one out there have used Xencast P2 from Easycomposites for casting and their opinions. I can't invest in pressure pots etc and read that this product does not need...

    First pen for a while well this was one I fifnished yesterday Slimline with a Iron Bark blank I think a bigger pen would show any grain off better. I only did the slimline to see hoe the wood turned still have some more it came from a friends garden in the Blue Mountains NSW
